The weight of divinator may seems an issue in shallow water, it is however a killing feature, forcing the angler to high stick and retrieve it really fast. In this condition you can drive the lure between rocks and seaweeds get violent attack few centimeters away from your feet.
Likewise, the Ocean divinator will be efficient at sunset and Sunrise when fish are the most active. We even successfully tested it at night on Seabass.
While on boat, the lure perfectly can respond to many animations:
– It can be simply cranked to cover both shallow and deep water switching between both 1Oz and 2Oz version. 1Oz (28g) will work perfectly up to 5m where the 2oz (56g) will go on 10m (even more depending on current and tide).
With its proportion and weight, it is easy to cast and explore spot that are out of reach for other lures.
– On Vertical fishing, with minimalist animation, or with long traction. Sea bass and pollack respond well when you lift it up from the bottom with some pauses.
We have noticed that the Biwaa Ocean Divinator was even more attractive at slack tide, don’t forget to use it when activity seems to slow down!
Its density make it really pleasant to used straight down from the boat, getting close to jigging action at 40m.
– You can for sure use it when sea bass, bonito…and even tuna when they are chasing baits. We successfully landed bluefin tune of 50kg and validate the hook which performed very well. We are waiting bigger fish to test Ocean divinator limit.
